Sanate Sugar Mill
Sanate Sugar Mill [Ruta de Los Ingenios] is part of the Tentative list of Dominican Republic in order to qualify for inclusion in the World Heritage List.
Sanate Sugar Mill comprises the ruins of a 16th century sugar mill on the shore of the Sanate river. The hydraulic power of the river was used to run the mill. It was the largest of the eastern part of the Dominican Republic.
